Family / Dependents Visa: Eligibility Criteria
The UAE Government does understand every person’s wish is to be together with their family. For this reason, sponsored or family visa applications are being prioritized by the Government of Dubai.
Many expatriates have migrated to Dubai as employers, partners, or investors due to the significant job opportunities.
When away from family, it’s natural to want to bring them to Dubai. The UAE government recognizes this desire and prioritizes family/sponsored visa applications.
Who can sponsor a resident visa in Dubai?
Spouse: Expatriates with a valid resident visa can sponsor their non-resident spouse. This requires valid documents, proof of financial stability, and suitable accommodation in the UAE.
Dependent Children: To obtain a visa, both the sponsor and the dependent child must prove their relationship. Children qualify as dependents until they reach 22 years old, provided they are unmarried and without a common-law partner. Dependent child sponsorship allows them to reside and study in the UAE.
