Skilled Professional Classification

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE) categorizes professions for visa applications. As of June 1, 2022, new employees and renewal professions have skill levels 1–9.

Attestation from the UAE Embassy in your home country and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) is now required for skill levels 1–5. These categories include:

Required Education Certificates by Skill Level:

  • Skill Levels 1 & 2: Attested University Degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD)
  • Skill Levels 3 & 4: Attested Diploma Certificate
  • Skill Level 5: Attested High School Diploma (or equivalent to 12th)
